North Epping Kindergarten, located in the northern suburbs of Sydney has been a cherished part of the community for over 50 years. Conveniently located opposite the North Epping Shopping Village, our kindergarten offers a welcoming, caring, and stimulating environment where children aged 3 to 5 can thrive. 

We provide high-quality, play-based educational programs that nurture each child’s curiosity, strengths, and individual needs. Our passionate, highly trained educators are dedicated to supporting excellent school readiness while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Our Educators

Meet the educators, leaders, and community members who make NEK such a special place.

Our Three Classrooms

Our kindergarten enrols children between ages 3-5 across our 3 classrooms. Each class group has children who aged 3, 4 or 5 years old. We do not schedule children to groups based on age.

We are licensed for up to 55 children per day.

Each classroom has a teacher and at least one additional educator.

We have also have an additional needs educator on-site at least 3-days a week.

Turtle Room

The Turtle classroom one of our two main classroom, located next to the office. This room has up to 20 children each day.

Rosella Room

The Rosella classroom is our other main classroom. This room has up to 20 children each day.

Kangaroo Room

This is our smaller classroom and has up to 15 children attend each day. This classroom is scheduled after the Rosella and Turtle classes are full.

Top 5 Questions Parents Ask

  • You are welcome to add your child to our wait-list from 3 months of age. You will need to provide a copy of their birth certificate, a current immunisation history statement to complete your application online.

  • Children must have turned 3 years old before they can start at preschool with us.

    By law, all children must be in compulsory schooling by their 6th birthday.

    • Each day your child will need weather appropriate clothing & a spare set in-case of accidents or getting wet with water play.

    • Morning tea and lunch in separate containers.

    • A water bottle they can open and close.

    • If you think your will child need a sleep/rest at preschool, please also bring a set of cot sheets, in a drawstring bag to put on our day beds.

  • Yes, North Epping Kindergarten participates in the NSW government Fee Relief program. As a community based preschool, families can receive a larger fee relief allocation than any CCS long day care service.

  • No. Parents need to provide morning tea and lunch each day in separate containers that your child can easily open. These are kept cool until morning tea time & lunch is refrigerated.

We are a Sun smart centre monitoring the UV levels throughout the day adhereing with our sun protection policy.

Nutfree Kindy

We ask families to NOT include any Nuts or Nut products in morning tea or lunch boxes.
